  • How to use it

    Our Suture Removal has:

    • three different skin tones to increase the realism of the training experiences;

    • two different wound closures - staples and hand-tied sutures - so trainees can master both suture and staple removing skills.

    To remove a plain, interrupted suture, gently grasp the knot with forceps and raise it slightly. Place the curved tip of the suture scissors directly under the knot or on the side, close to the silicone. Gently cut the suture and pull it out with the forceps.

    To remove staples, place the lower jaw of the remover under a staple. Squeeze the handles completely to close the device. This bends the staple in the middle and pulls the edges out of the silicone.

    New sutures and staples can be placed by the trainees on the suture pad after removing existing sutures and staples to practice their suturing skills.
