Designed for versatility and efficiency, it features two independent modular sections - a venipuncture zone and an IV cannulation zone - each with its own quick-swap replaceable units that allow users to instantly switch between different patient conditions, providing a wide range of realistic clinical scenarios within a single simulator.
Each replacement unit includes the skin and vein components and is built to withstand hundreds of punctures. When wear occurs, only the affected module needs replacement - making the system cost-effective, low-maintenance, and ideal for repeated institutional training.
The venipuncture section includes two anatomically accurate veins - the median cubital and cephalic - providing authentic vein palpation, flashback, and refill behavior for true-to-life practice. The IV cannulation section features soft multilayer realistic tissue for lifelike catheter insertion training. When connected to the proxSIMity Blood Circulation Unit (BCU) (sold separately), both sections deliver adjustable, pulsatile blood flow and precise control over pressure and flow rate for enhanced realism.
