The ProxSIMity Wearable Venipuncture / IV Sleeve is designed for realistic training in peripheral IV access and venipuncture while worn on a standardized patient, manikin, or instructor. The wearable format introduces true-to-life challenges in positioning, stabilization, and patient interaction that tabletop or fixed-arm models cannot replicate.
Built with anatomically accurate vessels and compliant soft-tissue layers, the sleeve delivers realistic needle insertion resistance, vessel palpation, flashback response, and catheter advancement. Elastic materials allow the sleeve to conform securely to different arm sizes while maintaining consistent vessel geometry and depth.
The internal vein network supports passive or syringe-driven flow to produce controlled flashback during cannulation. Integrated quick-connect ports enable fast filling, draining, and cleanup between sessions.
For programs requiring advanced realism, the sleeve is fully compatible with the ProxSIMity Blood Circulation Unit (BCU), allowing optional continuous or pulsatile flow to simulate live venous conditions.
Designed for durability and repeated use, the wearable sleeve supports high-volume skills labs, OSCEs, and in-situ simulation without restricting arm movement or learner access.
