Our suture pad offers diverse opportunities for training suturing skills. We have developed a pre-cut model selecting the most common type of wound that trainees will face in real life. How to use it
Start with removing the suture pad from the package. Grasp the needle holder in the distal third. Use the toothed forceps with your non-dominant hand and lift the far edge of the simulated incision.
Take the needle holder with your dominant hand and pierce the silicone pad on the side of the incision, approximately 0.5 cm away from the edge of it towards you. Grasp the other side of the simulated incision with the forceps where the needle is going to enter. Redirect the needle through and out of the silicone making sure the needle emerges about 0.5 cm away from the simulated incision's edge.
You can use different suture techniques to practice suturing on our product, for example Simple Interrupted Suture, Simple Continuous, Horizontal mattress, Running subcutaneous, Vertical mattress, and others.
